Why Should You Go to Trade Shows?

There are many reasons why you should go to trade shows.  Here are three reason to attend a trade show:

First, trade shows are a good way to build knowledge.  There are many workshops and technical presentations that cover a wide range of topics.  There is sure to be something of interest for you and relevant to your company.

Second, attending trade shows is a great way to foster industry relationships.  These days there are so many ways to communicate instantly, sometimes it is good to go back to the old fashion way…..face to face with a good ol’ handshake.  Trade shows are a great way to meet and visit with your current vendors as well as your peers.  Do you need to find a new potential supplier?  In one day you can meet several potential suppliers face to face, really understand what they have to offer and decide if they are the kind of people you want to do business with.

Third, when you attend a trade show you can evaluate potential investments – you can compare technology and equipment first hand.  Touch it and measure it.  Sometimes try it out.  You can talk to representatives of the company and ask questions one on one.  Collect information.  Then when you get back to your facility you can share what you have learned and make good sound decisions going forward based on what you were able to learn at the trade show.

Trade shows?  If you plan your days and use your time wisely, trade shows are worth your investment for suppliers and customers alike.

Next time we will talk about some trade shows ETA Engineering will be attending in 2016.
